Spotlight On: Slate NY

Slate in New York City is a cocktail bar, lounge, and nightclub that caters to a crowd with more sophisticated taste. Located in the Flatiron district, this club offers plenty of space for dancing, late night food, and plenty of events in addition to regular weekend partying.

Read more about why we love Slate and be sure to check them out soon, as SURV makes the move to NYC.

1. Special “Fridays After Work” Happy Hour

Everyone loves happy hour any day of the week but Fridays are especially tempting since no one has to get up early for work the next day! Slate is the perfect place to start your weekend with $5 options for beer, wine, and mixed drinks. Yes, even in NYC!

2. The Lay-out

With plenty of private and semi-private spaces in the club, this spot comfortably fits a packed house of partiers without it becoming too tight to dance and have fun. Peer down at your friends from the upper railings or rent a room for your own event. The options are endless.

3. The Food

Leaning towards the casual side of perfection, the food here at Slate crosses the line between nightclub and drunk nachos with surprising elegance. Even the most uptight fancy pants can’t complain about that!

4. Everyone Dances

You know how sometimes patrons of certain establishments can be pretty awkward and even refuse to dance? Not here! Everyone does what they came to do, GET DOWN. How are you going to meet the next hottie if you’re too scared to mingle? We know our SURV users only accept the best and this is a big part of finding it when we’re scouting out clubs to share with them!

5. Games Galore

Warm up for the night and get the conversation flowing before hitting the dance floor in the downstairs pool table and ping-pong room. Nothing better than a little friendly competition between friends or to break the ice on a first date!
